About that turkey that I cooked last week.

Well, it was perfect. The only problem was that it was ready about an hour early.

Turns out that I have a convection oven... and they cook a LOT faster than 'normal' ovens.

Just goes to show you how important it is to read and understand all the features of a product before using it .

Speaking of turkeys, that wasn't the only one I encountered this week.

But ONLY one other, fortunately.

And really... if we can learn, grow and otherwise benefit from them, even turkeys are good once in awhile.

Last week I mentioned that GoDaddy falsely accused of me of sending sp.am .

Part of their email read:

PLEASE NOTE: You are required to respond to this notification within 24 hours stating your intentions. Failure to do so may lead to actions such as the suspension or cancellation of service.

I responded immediately . I also asked them to send me the email in question as proof. I waited for a response. I sent them another e.mail, and I'm STILL waiting for a response.

Despite GoDaddy's lack of response, I saw the offending email this week. The originator WAS an affiliate. The links in the email were all OBVIOUSLY affiliate links .

For GoDaddy to falsely accuse top-level domain owners of sp.amming and threaten us with suspension of service is pure garbage. How can a company like that NOT recognize an affiliate link?

Duh.

Anyway, I've taken my business elsewhere .

I recommend you do likewise.

Don't do business with those whose lack of knowledge and arrogance threatens your livelihood.

Don't support a company whose customer service is so shoddy that they don't have the courtesy to respond to emails, that THEY've DEMANDED YOU respond to within 24 hours.

Spend a little more and register with 000domains.com , or any other registrar that won't terminate service due to a bogus sp.am complaint.

My Unfriendly Pop.Up

Thanks to Fran for sending me the following note...

Hi

Your pop up may not be working on everyone's computer and you might be losing some contacts.

I have a 15" monitor and the box can not be resized and does not have the capability of letting you scroll down to the boxes where you are to enter information.

I thought you might like to know about this.

Well, sheesh. Why didn't I think of that?

Anyway, it was an easy fix. I simply changed "resizable=0" (meaning NOT resizable) to "resizable=1", to allow resizing of the page.

Here's the script that I use for the pop.up at http://superaffiliatehandbook.com

Place the script within the head of the page, and the onunLoad instruction within the body tag.

Although I really appreciate Clickbank's service, I've always found their stats pages terribly lacking. And that's very frustrating, because I like to keep really good track of all aspects of my sales - both my referred sales, and those of my book.

For example, which URL sees the most orders? What day of the week has the most sales on average? Which affiliates sell the most?

Trying to sort out that information using CB's interface is tedious, time-consuming, cut-and-paste work.
