Couldn't wait to have at it...and Jen has already
said exactly what is on my mind. Covered everything
I secretly grumble about.

If some affiliate programs can have your links already
cloaked, why not everyone?

Please treat us as your sales associates. We work hard
to send people to you. Off with the "affiliates" link.
The absolute horror is "you can earn money" links. Ugh!

There's enough frustration. Make it a little easier and
I'll work even harder!

Thanks Ros!

Better linking material. I find that it is impossible to find decent stuff to advertise on your front page because the banners are so big and klunky, with no description. Widgets dont auto update, even if you post a picture of a product, there is not auto updating description and the picture is too big to look normal on your website. Not enough dynamic rich media, need more auto updating. It is too time consuming cutting and pasting each individual link. The format that special offers are mailed to you in from affiliate programs are just too time consuming, always have to play clean up. Or, if you are using drm, you cannot adjust the size of the text and the text is very messy looking. Commission Junction's searchable links - for example I want to get all affiliate programs offering free shipping, sure, they gather it and email it to you, but you have to cut and paste each individual link. When there are 100 + links, I am certainly not going to waste my time cutting and pasting 100 individual links. I find commission junction the worst for linking strategies, they offer nothing that is auto updating or user friendly. Linkshare, by far offer the best options when it comes to linking strategies.

Three biggies... this is what matters a LOT to affiliates I speak to!

# There should be NO mention of an affiliate program on the sales page -- anywhere!

# Cloak the affiliate hoplink/tracking ID that sometimes is left showing in the browser address bar!

# Do not attempt to capture the visitors name and e-mail address on the sales page! We as super affiliate already have huge lists, we don't want merchants creating a list off our traffic! We'll keep sending the traffic the 7+ times until a sale is (or is not) made.
