Interesting article…and as an Aweber customer I agree they are great. However, it is amusing that if you go to dinerdave.com now and try to fill in the opt in form for the report, Aweber tells you that the account is in their database, but NOT ACTIVE.

Ya gotta pay the monthly bill Dave! ;>)

Now, I may never learn how to eat free!!

I’m glad to hear that you’re so happy with Aweber. I too tried GetResponse (I’ve tried ‘em all) and Aweber is STILL my favorite bar none… and they just keep getting better. You’ll get some great news about some mods that they made that make the service even better. Can’t tell you what they are… been sworn to secrecy. But it’s something I’ve wanted for awhile.

Hey Rosalind. Aweber is definitely the best. I was with Get Response but I didn’t like the interface. I’m with Aweber now and I can’t give them enough praise. They also stay out of spam boxes more so than the services I’ve tried before (I get a much larger “open rate”).

Well I am very happy I choose Aweber and not any other autoresponder. I just signed up for aweber last week I think and am still getting used to it but from what I’ve read it is the best autoresponder out there even though its a few bucks more then some of its competitors.

Guess it’s well worth it though.

Very interesting post and we share one common bad experience! the oempro support is the worst i have found ever! they think they are doing you a favor by responding.

I’m still breaking my head with them as i bought the ESP version and am stuck for the moment…

Believe it or not, their upgrade script wiped my live site out, luckily i had a backup, but they havent’ responded to my critical helps requests after 48 hours!

I was looking online for other people with similar experiences and am glad i found you! so there are others with similar experience! think i’m going to spend some time spreading the word on the miserable support they have and the even worse attitude!

sorry for the rant mate and glad to see you are happy with aweber

Well, I am offering eBook as part of the incentive for subscription. But still I am not seeing any significant difference in subscription list. Am I missing anything? I have subscription form on every single page of the site along with pop-over scrolling window with FREE eBook offer. Or usually, it takes time to build subscription.

Also, when is the good time to put chicklet with total number of subscribers on subscribe form? Should I wait until it gets more than 100, 1000 or even more?

Hey Ros,
One thing that I forgot to add is that the reason I chose to go with a less than reputable email broadcast service, like oemPro, was to save a few bucks. It was a ONE TIME cost of $250 to incorporate the oemPro into the admin section of DinerDeals.com. I could get a full year on AWeber for that same price. Now that I have used AWeber on DinerDave.com for a couple of weeks it is WELL WORTH it for all of their features, support and, most importantly, peace of mind!
