My career as an affiliate marketer started back in early 1998 after I clicked on a banner ad for the OneandOnly.com dating service affiliate program.
I signed up, promoted the service on my new domain, Sage-Hearts.com, and a month later received a commission check in the mail for whopping $10.99.
Well, you know what happened later…
I was therefore disappointed this week to learn that the service and their affiliate program will be closing its doors on December 30th, 2005.
What can I say but that their opportunity changed my life and I’ll be eternally grateful for the opportunity they presented as well as the MANY checks!
They’ll be gone but certainly not forgotten.

I’ve been in the affiliate marketing business for about two months, and haven’t received one single commission check, so $10.99 would look good right about now. I’ve purchased many of the bibles which told me what to do, and I put some of the ideas into practice, and stll no commissions. I’m beginning to think something is a muck. I have the traffic, but people just aren’t cliking on those banners and links. Any other suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks for your comments Florence. I’m glad to know that I’m not alone. I’ve been working at this for a couple of years now with similar results. I’m going to hang in there though! If you visit my site you will see that it needs a serious make-over. That’s what I’ll be working on for the next few months.
If we keep on doing what we’ve always done, we’ll keep on getting what we’ve always got. So… try something new. That’s my plan.
