I met Frank at Marc Goldman and Alan Bechtold’s JV Summit in Las Vegas, the first Internet Marketing seminar I ever spoke at back in March of 2003.
Despite my considerable nervousness over speaking in public and my ensuing inability to focus on just about anything, I couldn’t help but notice Frank.
Unlike me, Frank WAS focused and attentive to everybody and everything going on around him.
We spoke a few times during the conference and it was immediately apparent that not only did he have great ideas for doing more business online, he also had solid plans to make those ideas reality.
True to form, Frank executed those plans in recent years and he’s done extremely well by them.
Now he’s telling everyone exactly what he did and how he did it in his new book, “Ideas to Dollars” and “How I went from an idea to $37,641.85 in just 24 days“.
What I liked best about Frank’s book is that not only does he really tell you what he did step-by-step to succeed, he also kept all his documentation along the way and includes that for his readers to review.
For example, he shows the actual bid request that he submitted to RentaCoder to have his software developed.
He documents the process and includes his email exchanges with the programmer he hired.
He then outlines his marketing strategy and what he did to get top marketers to both notice his product and want to JV with him.
In addition to outlining the full process, near the end of the book Frank provides you with a large list of keyword phrases or what he refers to as “idea starters” and “keyword phrases you probably haven’t thought of”.
In looking at the list, it’s true… I hadn’t thought of MANY of those possibilities!
He has also developed a 4-step action plan shows you how to come up with a winning idea for a product and turn that idea into a real money-maker.
What I also like about Frank’s ebook is that it is reasonably priced at $39.95 for 111 pages of solid content.
To learn how it’s done, check out Frank’s “Ideas to Dollars” book… just ignore the ‘home-made’ look and feel of the site.
I guess Frank isn’t much into attractive color schemes.

I’m curious about something Ros. I’m part of a family business. We run a mechanical contracting frim in Ottawa.
Monthly we sit down and go ver the business plan, marketing plan and our ad budget. You know to find out what is working, and what isn’t and how best to improve our position in the market. We do well !!
My question is this: Do you have a business plan, a marketing plan an ad budget and all the rest?
The reason I ask is obviously you’re successful, and I’m curious if you do any or all of these things. Personally I break down my week into days where I perform certain actions. Ie article posting, link building blog posting, ad posting. I don’t go at half heartedly. I’d like to spend more time (full time) as an internet marketer. But right now it isnt real.
I’m going to make an assumption. I’m pretty sure you treat your business seriously (its a 100 billion market) and thusly you’re not a “lazy” marketer. So I am sure you treat your business like a business and not a hobby or a side thing that keeps you busy when you’re bored.
SO how important is having a business plan, marketing plan, and ad budget. I’m not asking you to reveal figures but how much time do you spend on your business and how much importance do you place on having a busniess plan. I know that just the very idea of having a business plan would scare or deter alot of people. But if you have no plan you have no direction. Same with goals. I’m sure you have goals, ie monthly, yearly etc.
Maybe you can blog about this? Have a happy saturday.
Shane
Hello Shane,
GREAT question! One well worth discussing in more detail in an article or blog post, for sure.
I do talk about the importance of planning in the Super Affiliate Handbook and include activities that should be performed daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, etc.
Basically though, I have a yearly goal/plan regarding income and what I need to do to achieve those figures.
Then I break down activities by month… and usually plan in the evening those things I need and want to do the next day.
That said, I keep things very flexible.
I think that’s the beauty of a business like this… working from home and running your own show, you can head in any direction you want as the spirit (or new technology) moves you.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Ros
