Google Ads for Free? Oh, C’mon!

Google Ads for Free. Sounds pretty tempting right?

I saw emails from Cody Moya and Harris Fellman promoting this and took a quick look at the sales page. (Note: Harris sent out a retraction to his list later.)

It was TOO OBVIOUS right from first glance that this was a total scam. First clue, the ‘testimonials’ have stock photo images. Second clue – screen shots of a Google Adwords account pages with maximum bids. OK, HOW is that free?

Well, according to my research, it turns out that it’s a ‘scratch-my-back-I’ll-scratch-yours’ advertiser co-op scheme… and a great way to lose your accounts!

Please, don’t even think about going there!

      Ros,

It’s sad that ClickBank allows scam laden crap like this to be sold through them. Really, it makes people think everything on ClickBank (even the SAH) is in the same “boat”. ClickBank should be ashamed of themselves.

Just getting an email from Cody Moya should have been enough to get you to turn and run! Some of the stuff he sends is unbelievably crappy. I would just unsubscribe from his list but his unsubscribe link on the bottom of every email I get doesn’t work.

The pictures of the huge mansion and bikini clad women are a dead giveaway as well. Reminds me of an infomercial by a guy named Tom Vu from a few years back – lots of flash and pushy sales pitches.

I bought this after heming and hawing over its cost and ‘maybe this could be the one!’. After I got it my hopes just dropped and sunk. Had I been scammed? I wasn’t 100% sure, and mind you I’m not stupid.

So I decided to Google it. I looked for reviews on it. I came across an interesting fellow, Martin Avis – kickstartdaily.com. He reviewed it, and then retracted his review and stated he would ask for a refund. Ask for a refund? I’ve bought tons of clickbank products for years and had never asked for a refund. So I did.

I felt alot better. Shame on me for falling for the hype once again. [Even though the product was kinda deceptive in its advertsing]

And why did I? I need to print out the sales letter for this product and study it. Because it obviously pushed my buttons, and got me drooling and pulling out my debit card.

So I learned two lessons. One, I will always Google any product I am considering buying. I check around quite a bit, warrior forums -etc. And two, I will study all sales letters that get me to drool like that.

I’m glad you made a post about it Ros. I bought the report / ebook and read through it thoroughly because I am wanting to use PPC a bit more in promoting my site. Of course when I read how you actually “get Google Ads Free” I was quite upset that I’d been kind of “had”. I don’t want to sell advertising on my site in the hope that it might set off my Adwords campaign. I asked Clickbank for a refund which was processed quickly. I should’ve known that if yourself and Allan Gardyne both say scam then run a mile from it. Thanks for always being honest.

Hahaha, I loved Tom Vu. You too can be a real estate and have bikini chicks all over you even if you can’t speak English…ok so you’ll end up in jail for false advertising but that’s a minor detail… he was a marketing god… in a don’t do this sorta way. :-)

      Kind regards – Michael

I was almost suckered by this snake oil salesman too. But the Outlandish promise, while worked as the hook to me to read more, also raised my defenses. His bravado “You probably have never heard of me and I don’t care” also heightened my concern. Especially since the web site owner is concealed by the regsitrar. And as Ros noted the stock photos in the testimonials with names but no websites ( what self respecting web master would leave the url out of ther signature?)
A quick search of the forums revealed the poduct as over-hyped fluff. Which will catch up with the merchant when the refund request swell. Thanx Ros for digging into the muck and sharing your candid results.

      Dear Ros,

I read your book several years ago while learning Unix Administration and Networking. Since then I’ve read just about everyone involved with internet marketing. I sometimes delete your messages because my attention is demanded urgently elswhere, however, you are one of the very few whom I still trust and your messages are still welcome. Now that I have mastered Unix Administration I hope I can achieve your level of integrity in English and Spanish. As the son of a prosecutor I find it difficult to lie to the public. Thank you for exposing, and not linking to, the aforementioned lie. Keep up the good work!
      Yours very sincerely and respectfully,

Ya RIGHT! The suggestion is so ludicrous as to be laughable. Sure that’s what I want to do – publish or promote a product that advocates ridiculous marketing / site traffic schemes.

      NOT.

Thanks for warning people about the scam. Get Google Ads Free is absolutely a scam that should be taken down. Free is Free. You still have to pay for your Google ads so how is that free? The whole thing is based on selling ads on your landing page. If you set your Google daily budget to $10,000.00 per day and you only sell $500.00 per day in advertising, then you still have to pay $9,500.00 per day in Google ads. And they actually encourage you to set such high budgets! They should be taken down!

Thank you for letting everyone know about this before it was to olate. I too, almost bought into this program and was even thinking about promoting it.

I am new and still learning. I didn’t even know who you were until I came across a site that brought me to you. I was very intrigued by your knowledge and I believe in that old quote..”Knowledge is Power”. Thanks for being honest…there just isn’t enough of that in the world today!

I just bought one of your manuals and can’t wait to put it to work.

      Thanks again!

      HI!
I’ve been working on different casinos for a while, and I have heard all sort of scams in the internet, regarding how to beat online blackjack (100%) effective, craps, slots, video slots or even hot to see your opponent hole (pocket) cards. Is amazing how ALL of this sites have almost the exact same main page as the one we are discussing here. THEY ARE ALL SCAMS!!!! However, I found this because i am actually looking for resources on how to boost my traffic, and I figured out it will help me to get a thread like this… I will really appreciatte any advice.

With all due respect to those against this Google Ads Free System, I bought it because as everybody here, felt curiosity about it.

My honest review is, that the ideas contained in this material is very refreshing. Even when the “Free” word might have been misused, the approach they suggest to get free a advertising budget is great.

It is not scam but a well thought product aiming to help everyone with advertising cost of the Google Adwords Ads model, Yahoo!, Amazon, and so on.

For those who still feel it might have something of interest, I recommend them to give it a chance. If they are not happy with it, they have 60 days for ask for a refund, no questions asked.

I am serious about what I recommend and this, is not a scam. It is of course my opinion, and the opinion of hundreds of serious online entrepreneurs.

With all respect to Rosalind, she didn’t buy it. So, all I ask is this. Please buy it and try it. For the sake of science if you like.

Once you get your founded opinion, tell us about it.

Thanks for reading and please take this message as a non-antagonist call for research vs. uninformed bashing on products that might look suspicious.

      Good luck to all!

i’m curious when an ebook is called scam, what does that mean?
is it that the ideas will never work?
or the title of the book does not reflect the real picture n content of the book, i.e. the use of free here.
i guess in every situation and option, there’s always 2 sides of the coin.
and people who are curious, would still seek to know and experience the truth themselves..which applies the same with this free google ads ebook

Interesting question. I guess an eBook or any other program or product is called a Scam, when the buyer believe that it is not delivering what was offered in the sales pitch.

In this case, as most people are taking literally the word “Free” they will be disappointed cause nothing is for free in live.

I bought the product and I am happy with what I got for a simple reason. I love to learn and this eBook, not only gives you that “simple idea” that would help you eliminate your advertising budget if done correctly, but it has many interesting information on other areas. Like how the traditional printed advertising works and things like that and how you can make a profit with a simple system as well, very refreshing indeed.

If you expect to have a black hat technique to eliminate the “paying to Google” part of advertising on Google, don’t buy it. It is something else that has been underestimated by most of the respected participants in this thread (I am not sure if can be called a thread?)

Hey Ros, thanks for warning me about it but it was too late. I already made a free account. How do I delete it? This is surely a scam. All that crap about free money. How could I be so stupid?

Hi Rosalind and people here. I admit that in my first impression of the program after buying it, I entered in a stage of “denial” if you like ;) .

When someone proves I’m wrong, I’ll be the first to apologize and truly believe this is the case. I still think there are many jewels inside the product but the main “bait” offered which is to eliminate the advertising cost is clearly not what its offered and then, fails on delivering at its most basic way.

Please accept my apologies if my perspective caused anyone to waste their time or money. If earning a living online has taught me anything at all, that would be to be honest and make your word count. Otherwise you are only deceiving yourself.
