While at Affiliate Summit, I was discussing the increasing importance of having your site translated into various languages.
On looking around, I’ve decided NOT to hire the following translator.

OMG Ros.. That is the funniest thing I have seen in a long long time.. My favorite was the Italian.. Thanks for sharing. Jerry
Jerry – Isn’t it just? I laugh when I think about it… and just about needed Pampers the first time I saw it. – Ros
Pass the Pampers, Please Rosalind … You know the other funny part is that people who don’t speak other languages, also don’t realize that automated translations only make marginally more sense that this. Well, OK maybe a little more than “marginally”, but often equally as amusing. It is not just English speakers who harbor this misconception either, if I may offer some prize examples.
Aw man that was halarious!!!! I agree the Italian was the best one!
haha it was so funny ros, thanks for making my day a brighter one. I will post it at my blog too to get some laughter going.
John
Crazy, the scary thing is, I think many a time this is what we hear people say, even if we understand the language!
Well at least I’ll know how to talk to that cab driver next time I’m in Rome
Catherine Tate is Britain’s top female comic. She’s brilliant and also a classic Shakespearian actress.
Hi Tom - She’s fabulous! Wish we got her on TV over here.
Ros
Hi Ros,
I hope you still me remember me from the Double Birthday Bash in San Antonio: http://netprofitstoday.com/_npc/2005-03-22.html
If you are ready to have your site translated, take a look at the email I just sent you.
I would be glad to help you out.
Jennifer
Very funny. has anyone seen my sandwich?
the funniest thing I’ve seen in a very long time. Thanks you! D. Channell
That reminds me of the following joke:
A Swiss guy, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop where two Englishmen are waiting.
“Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?” he says.
The two Englishmen just stare at him.
“Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?”
The two continue to stare.
“Parlare Italiano?”
No response,
“Hablan ustedes Espanol?”
Still nothing.
The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted.
The first Englishman turns to the second and says, “Y’know, maybe we should learn a foreign language….”
“Why?” says the other, “That bloke knew four languages, and it didn’t do him any good.”
Loved it! It was funny to see how she looked at the country they represented and then proceeded to ‘imitate’ how she perceived their language ~ stereotyping by language. I also thought the hands affected a nice touch in the Italian language ~ it was belissima!
Why was that funny?
Oh, just because.
What?! How did I miss this one?! Haha! I wonder how she’d sound like trying to do the Filipino language (my language).
Wow! She must have been getting the same emails I get about getting started earning on the internet, that’s how I feel about the next latest and greatest after trying to get through all the hype. Thanks, I really needed a good laugh.
Sylvia
