How NOT to Post Testimonials: DVDDropShip Example
Anthony Hamerton of S & H Promotions was kind enough to drop me a line and point me to the following:

Hmm… you might recognize that picture from the Super Affiliate Handbook homepage. It’s me in front of my computer.
According to DVDDropship however, my name is Carla James and I’m married to Ian.
Wow! I don’t even know Ian!
Too, I apparently like DVDDropship enough to have written the merchant a testimonial.
Duh.
Actually, I’m still Ros and I’ve never heard of DVDDropship before getting Anthony’s note.
I could have contacted the site to have it removed, but I thought you’d appreciate actually seeing what you’ve always known — not all online marketers operate with integrity.
Too, I’d like to help potential buyers of this product by highlighting the fact that DVDDropShip acts in a fraudulent manner, and is therefore not to be trusted.
I do that by naming them in our blog (DVDDropShip) and then hope that our blog entry comes high in the search results for their name.
Let’s hope, shall we?
Posting testimonials on your site – whether it is a product site or an affiliate site – is a good thing. Just make sure that they are REAL.
Cheers,
Ros

Rosalind, I so appreciate your honesty and integrity. So important in todays society, few a far inbetween. Nice to see that it is still within us. Great work. I like your style especially, what goes out comes back in 3 fold and you undeniably will be rewarded. Smiling with pride, Rosalind. Take care … Judy
Hello Judy,
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I think honesty and integrity should be the basis for everything we do in business and life in general. With those at the core, success is more rewarding, failures are fewer and easier to cope with, and best of all, one can sleep at night.
Cheers,
Ros
Hi Rosalind,
Thanks for posting that – It’s sad that people who do things like that make it harder for others who really do have a reputable online business.
It seems this website has a weird thing for submitting pictures of other internet marketers.
Take a look at their testimonial page today – the guy at the top – supposedly named “John Goule” and the lady at the bottom “Jenny Penninson” are both successful internet marketers.
The man on the top is really named Preston and he owns a website that shows people how to make and sell wire jewelry.
And the lady at the bottom – her real name is Barbara and she has a home decorating website.
AND if I am correct – both of these people have their own little section on the Secrets To Their Success website!
The reason I know this is because I read about both of them in a product I own created by the late Corey Rudl.
Who’s picture will be up next? Corey Rudl himself??
Sure… messages from above!
Or maybe even George Bush will decide to send them a testimonial… using an alias of course!
Hi Ros, thanks for the post. Just had a look at the DVDDropShip site and noticed that they have removed your picture and replaced it with another.
Got to say it though, yours was better. lol x
Anthony.
Hi Anthony,
Aren’t you the sweet one? You’ll notice that they haven’t removed Preston’s picture at the top though.
I guess they figure that they’ll only respond to items that they are officially ‘caught out’ on.
To their detriment to be sure… I think this calls for another blog post.
Cheers,
Rosalind
well your hopes came true……………… was just about to buy their membership………… searched google to check………………… your site came up number 3 (number 1 & 2 were their site!!!!!!!)………….. had a quick read of this page………………….I somehow don’t think i’ll be buying.
thanx
I have been using this company for over 12 months, and they have always been great, in fact their customer service is second to none in the dropshipping world, and the company also have a good rep on forums.
No issues using them at all. How do we all know the above image is true anyway, I don’t think you can believe anything on the internet as gospel.
Donna P
Folks… I believe Donna (commenter above) is a shill for the company.
As for believing the above image is true… Sheesh, that’s a pic of ME in front of my computer. I guess I should know whether it’s me or not.
If you meant that you don’t believe it was posted on the DVDDropShip site as part of a fake testimonial, then check out the web archives.
