How to Add Affiliate Links to YouTube Videos using BubblePly

Do you make your own videos to promote products online as an affiliate? Does your merchant allow you to use their videos that are posted to YouTube, Blip.TV, Google Video, Metacafe and other video portals WITHOUT providing you with a way to embed your affiliate links?

Well, an easy and free way to embed your affiliate links in videos is by using the online service BubblePly.

You can add a link to the bottom of a video, or embed hyperlinks in text. When your site visitor clicks on the link, a new browswer window opens and the video continues playing.

Here’s how to embed your affiliate links into a YouTube video:

    1. Copy the URL of a video you want to add a link to into the text form at BubblePly.com and click ‘Next’.
    2. Pause the video and get your affiliate link.
    3. Start the video again, hit ‘Bubble’ and choose your desired bubble format.
    4. Enter your text.
    5. Enter your affiliate link.
    6. Drag the duration buttom right across to the end of the video.
    7. Click ‘Done’ and you’re done.

In this video I take you through each step of adding your affiliate link into a video using BubblePly.com.

Here is the caveat (there’s ALWAYS at least one, isn’t there?).

It is best to create your own promotional videos as not all merchants will permit you to use their videos for this purpose.

Of course, if you’re one of my affiliates, I have videos for you to use to promote the Super Affiliate Handbook! Just go to the affiliate program news site to learn more. :-)

        Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the voice compliment… too many years of smoking, I think.

Sorry about the black box.. I removed the example in this case and will try again later.

        Cheers,
        Ros

I feel like an idiot but too many questions that shouldnt be ignored.
1)will this video be viewable with the bubble on youtube once its done?
      doesnt appear to.
      2) can anyone show me where there are instructions to embed on facebook>?
      3) so the video is permanently linked to BubblePly (to recruit new subscribers)

I see how i can mask the link in an email. but thats it

        Hi Allen,

The link just appears as a normal link the way I did it, because I pulled it down to the bottom and widened it out fully.

If you just leave the bubble in the middle of the video, yes, it should appear as such.

The videos that you make are really for placement on your own website… that’s the best place to have them anyway… as you know from having read my book of course. :-)

        Cheers,
        Ros

I was not aware of the fact that we could add links to videos. There are enormous technologies coming up and this one is really great. Good to see that an example was also given.

Hey Ros, great info and solution to a dilemma I had been pondering. I have a problem though where the video that I embed from BubblyPly on my WordPress Blog just shows as a blank box. When I embed the regular video from You Tube it’s fine. Any ideas what may be happening?
