Hi Eddie and Steve,

You both seem to be struggling a bit with this, so let me help you out.

I'm Heather... Steve, I'm the one who wrote the article and did the video.

First, Steve: When you do an interview series, ALL the experts drive traffic to the site. So Expert #1 gets a new audience from Experts 2-10, and so on. That's benefit #1 to the experts, and the other is a built-in affiliate system (upsells if it's a free series, commissions if it's paid, and all sorts of variations are possible).

Now Eddie: If everyone has cracked the code on every possibility, then there's nothing left to learn. I highly doubt you believe that, because if you look a little harder, people only "crack the code" in the areas that work for their strengths and passions. The drive is either to expand on something they're naturally good at, or figure out how to be great at something they're not so good at. The same thing applies to any area of life where some people succeed, and others fail.

Perhaps you'll crack the code on something, if you have the right attitude, drive and determination. If not, tap into what somebody else has figured out... that's called leverage (but, by the way, a cynical attitude won't help you in either case).

As for me, I didn't come out of the woodwork... I've been interviewing celebrities and experts since 1993 (17 years). That's not a short period of time, and definitely not overnight. Watch my video that Ros linked to above for more of my personal story...

Best of luck to both of you,
Heather

Thanks Rosalind. The true path to success does involve leveraging other people's work and creating win-win situations.

Hi Rosalind,

It sounds great, but I'm confused about one of the details:

The piece of the puzzle in the story that I don't quite understand is about the audience for the interviews.

Initially, you mentioned that the the experts list is used to drive traffic to the interview series landing page.

Then, you mentioned that the expert won by getting a fresh, new eager audience. If the audience came from his own list, where did he get the new audience?

If the interviewer doesn't have a list, what is the sales pitch that gets the expert to want to participate?

Thanks.

Hey Rosalind,

Thought I would comment on the article "Interviewing Unwrapped". It was o.k. and by the way I believe everyone has "cracked the code" to every marketing possibility for internet marketing. Or at least it seems so.

Two things that I have come to notice in just about every course offered on the internet are; one - they become experts in their area of sales in just a short period of time. (some perhaps overnight)

Number two - somewhere along the way they were able to crack a code. Are codes that easily broken into or cracked. For that matter were there any codes that needed to be cracked into in order to succeed on the internet.

So, where does this leave all of us newbies or beginners? Should we pursue a course on cracking codes so that we too can become successful internet marketers.

Or better than that we just take down a few notes from some people who answer a few questions for us and presto we are the experts now.
