I have read a few articles on this very subject, and I am learning the hard way
that yes, a blog should have a definate subject and stick to it. I wanted to learn how to put one up without the guidance I have now with a specific content site. And, I thought it would be a good idea to just talk about whatever I felt like on a more personal level just for the sake of saying whatever was on my mind.

Wrong! Well, I guess what is happening is that the traffic is just too sparse to begin with when you write like that. I’ve written about everything from feeling sad about losing a pet, my favorite fudge recipe, to how mad hubby made me one day! Good for venting, but not good for traffic. It’s all a learning experience. Anyway, no, the subject matter of my little blog was not obvious at all because there wasn’t one. I guess the pros somehow do it, but doesn’t seem to be working for me. And so, I will drop that blog, and when I pick it up again someday, I’ll try to make the subject matter specific throughout. I should have known better.
