Inbound links is always going to be the most important factor when it comes to SEO.

You can optimize the page how much you want but a page with a lot of inbound links will always win!

This is great info. I am in the process of getting my affiliate blog set up now. I’m actually using a StudioPress design. I’m still learning and understanding this affiliate mktg thing but I’ve learned so much from you & will definitely be looking into SEO suggestion.

Rosalind, Thanks for your comment. As a former journalist, I find the whole approach to writing for search engines unpleasant, although I know its important if you want to make money as an affiliate.

I find myself doing keyword research, but preferring to use the words that come when I write — the words that best help me communicate with my audience. So I will definitely check out Scribe SEO while striking a better balance between SEO and writing for real people.
