I LOVE the StudioPress Genesis framework and their plethora of beautiful child themes. What I HATE is seeing folks lose potential commissions because they don’t bother to change out the footer links which go straight to StudioPress!

I cringe when I come across sites like these — great niche, lots of content, customer reviews — and yet little or NO attempt to monetize.

It’s especially frustrating when I see that the site has been online for a few years, ranks on the first page of Google for some of its targeted keyword phrases and that there are scads of products to market via affiliate programs — yet the webmaster has nothing more than one instance of Adsense per page of his or her site.

Take a look at the following video and if your site looks anything like this one does — you NEED to monetize using affiliate programs!

I’m probably going to take some heat for this, but this so-called affiliate marketing program training offer was driving me completely nuts (because it is SUCH a scam), that had to make the accompanying video while wearing my jester hat again.

Basically, it’s about the the “Rich 16 Year Old Girl’s” affiliate marketing training program that has been hot on Clickbank lately.

Carol, the rich 16 year old is a front for some nameless Clickbank vendor, and the video shows you why.

Basically, the lesson is to read carefully between the lines before you buy any training program!!!

Update: The Rich 16 Year Old Girl’s program is “sold out”. Digital products don’t ‘sell out’. That’s code for being removed from the Clickbank Marketplace for having violated their terms. Yeah!

In the following video, I go on an almost 15 minute rant against MLM (FHTM in particular).

These guys have the audacity to call their business model ‘relationship marketing’, when in fact what folks are doing is destroying relationships with their friends, family and neighbours while trying to recoup hefty investments in this so-called business opportunity.

For your $300 initial investment plus $70 every month thereafter, you get a cookie-cutter site that Google hates and will slap with a duplicate content penalty. Where’s the relationship in THAT?

In the video, I also show how MOST of the reps are making no money at all, based on FHTM’s own income disclosure statement.

The crux of the matter is that you don’t need to put out big bucks to start a business, especially online.

The model is called affiliate marketing, and for a tiny fraction of what you would invest in an MLM opportunity, you can have a real website and you don’t have to pay to promote REAL name brands.

OK, I admit I go on a total rant in this video about how NOT to promote Clickbank products — probably because it’s my own product, but also because this is a GREAT example of bottom-of-the-barrel affiliate marketing.

On another note – don’t tell me how great my instruction is and then produce something like shown in this video — this work is the antithesis of everything I teach about becoming a successful affiliate marketer.
