I love your Roamsters blog… Is most of your traffic coming from organic searches?
I’ve been blogging for a few years but struggle to get targeted traffic. I guess I should go back and read my Super Affiliate Handbook.

Thanks kindly. I’m glad to hear you like the Roamsters travel blog… I think it’s my favorite site too!
Although I send PPC traffic to a main few pages and product endorsements on Roamsters, almost all of the traffic going to that site is organic.

My basic understanding of the program is that you buy a version of his search engine service and drive traffic to it with pay per click advertising. There are affiliate programs in the engine such as reverse lookup and reunion.com. Your objective is to target searches for people’s names and hope that folks sign up for reunion.com and the like.
Honestly, doesn’t sound like something I’d invest in – especially since everyone who buys the program will be targeting a specific niche by ppc.
If you’re interested in having a niche affiliate store I’d recommend Traffic Genesis instead. You pick your niche, choose a design and add your own products.. and you won’t be in competition with everyone else who uses the same system.

But I did do a full-blown video course with Anik (BlogClassroom) that covers many of my affiliate marketing techniques, plus all the technical aspects of blogging.

I’m based in the Uk and looking at my options.
I’m just a bit concered that everything I am looking at seems to be based on the US Market.
Your Video is great and so is your book which I have recently purchased. I am struggling to work out the best route for me to take and find the best place to sort out my website. Your suggestions have been great but I haven’t pressed the button on a couple due to my limited market place in the UK . Any suggestions ?

Thanks for getting in touch and I’m glad you asked that question.
Your market is the world. Although some merchants don’t accept UK (or Canadian, Australian, etc.) affiliates, it rarely where on the planet you live.
Too, the UK market is huge. You might want to consider segmenting your site to appeal to different audiences from different geographic regions depending on the products that you are promoting. But other than that… I’d go after the US market with a vengeance.

You don’t really need to use a trackback link for the trackback to show up in comment moderation on a WordPress blog.
All you need to do is link to the specific post, and WordPress will do the rest.

I use Camtasia Studio (version 5) for all my video recordings. Found the learning curve wasn’t bad at all, especially since I’m not a technie. Now if I could only manage to get Screencast (their video hosting solution) to work as well for me. Ugh.
