Just updated my video proof that there is money to be made as an affiliate marketer video. Includes shots of my checks, Clickbank & Paypal accounts (from July and August 2010) in real time.
See the video…
For those who don’t recognize my voice during the ‘checks’ portion of the video and question whether or not my name is on all of those different checks, please check out the following pic.

Great motivational video. Counting the days to either quit or retire from my 9 to 5.
That is a very good amount of income. A question came to mind whilst I was watching, ‘is there any particular reason why you have multiple Clickbank and PayPal accounts? Isn’t it easier to just have the one of each?’
Hi Gerri,
I maintain multiple accounts for the purpose of being able to see quickly where the most money is coming from. Too, I have a Master Clickbank account, so all the accounts are managed in one place.
Cheers,
Ros
Ros,
“Master” Clickbank account? There’s a way to have multiple accounts and have them managed by one “master” account? Are there tutorials for this?
Dan
Hi Dan,
Hi-volume affiliates and vendors are given ‘Master’ accounts to manage their Clickbank business.
Cheers,
Ros
My question is that on every time someone shows all these checks of all the money they made I notice that they will not show who’s name is in the PAY TO THE OR OF section and this makes me quite suspicious to these claims?
Kenneth
Hi Kenneth,
My bad. I can certainly do that… as a matter of fact, I’ll take a picture and upload it asap.
Cheers,
Ros
Thanks Rosalind for posting your cheques with your name in the PAY TO THE ORDER OF section. I cannot for the life of me see why there are so many out there that forget to do this or are they hiding something.
Kenneth
Hi Kenneth,
No problem! I guess I didn’t think to do it because it’s my voice and my fingers turning those checks that I’m about to take to the bank. I often forget (or try, anyway) how many sheisters there are out there in our IM world. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
Cheers,
Ros
Hi Ros,
while anyone is complaining about economy I guess you are really happy! I know you´ve worked hard for this – it´s just when you are on the bottom of the mountain it seems there´s so much to do at once.
Congratulations though – this shows one more time that there´s no reason why there´s no money to make in affiliate marketing – there´s really no reason as anyone is in a win-win situation: the affiliate marketer, the company and also the customer.
Thanks for showing – it´s a great motivation to keep up the work!
Monja
Hi,
I follow your blog regularly. I am not very sure if I should be asking this question in public!
What % of your earnings come from organic traffic?
Rgds,
RK
Hi RK,
Good question as I consider almost all of my traffic organic at this point… I do hardly any PPC advertising nowadays.
About 98% of my traffic comes from search engines and people who revisit the sites via my newsletters (blog posts), so I’d venture to say that the earnings percentage is almost as high if you don’t count recurring commissions from folks who purchased long ago.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Ros
Oh! just forgot to mention; that I like your honesty in displaying your cheques, unlike many so called super affiliates who do a great “photoshoping” job in their cheques. LOL!
Rgds
Hi RK,
Thanks for the kudo. I like to be able to sleep at night and that would be tough if I was less than honest.
Cheers,
Ros
Thanks so much for sharing – this really lights my fire! Kristie
I watched your MLM Rant, and I believe that just like in MLM, your own personal earnings can be compared to the top of the marketers income level, just like you compared to the top earners in MLM.
Unfortunately, affiliate marketers loose just as much, if not more, trying to promote their sites/products online, as do MLM reps doing the same.
That is why memberships, launches, eBooks, software run rampant on the net. Most of these products not earning most marketers anything. I bet way over 60% of marketers are NOT making anything worth their while in income as affiliate marketers. Especially when you deduct what they paid trying to establish themselves.
In all fairness, a comparison of income, expenses, and time input, should be made between affiliate marketers and MLM’ers before either can be knocked
Rosaland,
Very inspiration video. My checks are not as big as yours, but a girl can always dream.
I’ve never heard of a Master Clickbank account. I have 1 Clickbank account for selling other people’s products and each product I sell has it’s own Clickbank account. Could you tell me a little bit more about the Master Clickbank account?
Hi Jessica,
Clickbank gives Master Accounts to its high-volume affiliates and vendors as a ‘perk’. Keep up the good work and you’ll get one too!
Cheers,
Ros
Thanks Rosalind… I’ve always thought of you as the ‘real deal’ in affiliate marketing. You’ve been my inspiration for years.
Hi Carol,
Thanks very much for your kind words… hope to keep inspiring new AM’s for years to come!
Cheers,
Ros
Thanks Roslind, cant wait to do it full time.
Hi Ros,
Here is the “Academic World” value of your SAH training.
Just happened to notice a banner on your site for USF “The university of San Francisco,” advertising an “Advanced Affiliate Marketing Certificate Course.”
Just for fun I went to the USF website and the course outline reads like a table of contents from SAH
The price for all that “University” education in affiliate marketing is…
$2,480
Regards,
Jim
PS USF doesn’t offer an affiliate program for their training…Too bad I really wanted a piece of that action
Hi Ros,
I always enjoy your videos. The rant the other day about MLM was particularly good. What surprised me about this one was that amounts of the checks ranged from small to large. For some reason, I thought every check you got was in thousands
Hi Edward,
I wish. LOL
But as they say… it all adds up (quite nicely).
Cheers,
Ros
Hi Ros,
It’s always so refreshing to hear the real story of real affiliate marketers. I commend you for not having a photo of you and a brand new Ferrari parked in front of a mansion.
By the way, what percentage of your earning come from products that you created versus sales of other offers?
Thanks for all your encouragement!
Hi Larry,
I gave my Mercedes 500SL AMG away . Seriously. Have no need of a Ferrari… OK, anymore. LOL Trying to live a greener lifestyle.
The house is incredibly beautiful, but it’s in a very middle class neighbourhood, in a very middle class town. I love it and I love my neighbours. Honest to goodness, real people with jobs, businesses, stay-at-home responsibilities … you name it. I like staying ‘real’.
As for percentages… really good question. Just over half of my income comes from affiliate offers nowadays. I sell my own products, have a consulting business and a drop-ship arrangement at http://windingway.com to sell my favorite watches. They all contribute to the pot.
Cheers,
Ros
Ros,
This is a little off topic but I just wanted to let you know what happened after I went to two of your websites. Out of curiosity I recently went on your two websites, the dating site and your watch site. The following week I started getting spam from dating sites and watch and clock sites. I have hit the spam button on all of them but Match.com is extremely persistent. Finally went in and unsubscribed so we’ll see if that finally stops them since I am happily married. I believe you when you say you do not sell or otherwise share information but was just curious (maybe curiosity does kill the cat!!)as to how this happens and how to prevent it in the future. Thanks, RG
