Hi Leslie,

I too am from the Smithers/Hazelton area. Not that many steep drop offs to see along the river, mostly the trees block the steepness and the highways are fairly wide not more than three lanes but the scenery is to die for. Also see loads of wild animals. Imagine my surprise to be driving the Alaska Highway and come around a sharp corner to see a huge bison resting along the side of the highway. There are so many scenes to enjoy that one doesn’t even notice that the drop off is steep in the few places that it is steep.

Have a good trip Rosalind and keep us posted. I’m homesick now!

No kidding!! I had to shake my head several times yesterday and today at the coincidence. Anyhoo, we’re just about to leave the port in Ketchikan for Wrangell and points north, so no more internet for a bit… but I’ll definitely stop by and say hi for you.

OMG Ros, that’s friggin’ amazing. Small world indeed. Karmic or something… I actually haven’t seen or heard from Tresham in many years. I hope he’s well. Maybe you’ll also bump into Annette. I kinda wonder what other Haines characters I met then are still kickin’ around there after all these years. And, I’m linking this post to one of the first HTML pages I ever created, while working for Tresham back in ’02 (it seems to have been tweaked since).

Sorry we’ll miss you at Affiliate Summit tomorrow, but frankly I think you’re in the more attractive location at the moment than I am (I’ve never been a fan of NYC).

That’s amazing. I LOVE the Fort St. JHames historic park. Haven’t been there for many years but it’s definitely one of the best and I totally love the lake there, it’s SO beautiful. Was sorry to miss it on this trip.

As for forest fires, we’re running AWAY from them and the terrible smoke in the Okanagan.

As for the Maples Leafs chair, that’s Ed’s. Mine just has a Canadian flag on it. I tolerate the Leafs.
