Thanks for visiting my blog.

I worked with the beta for a week trying out all the new features. I really like the fact that tags can be managed now. I guess I will install it sometime this week. Gotta back up my database first.

One word of warning though for those who upgrade. DO NOT do it through Fantastico in your cpanel. The last time I did that I ended up with funny characters in all of my posts! It was easily fixed, but I had to do lots of research to find out what the problem was.

Here is the correct way to upgrade:

I like the interface too. I just upgraded last night, only took a few minutes and everything works great.

I am still waiting a few days before I will test it. I really enjoy testing new versions, and I am really looking forward to the new 2.5 version of WordPress.

The only problem for me, is that last time I installed it way too early, I ended up with an invisible blog for many hours and I had to reinstall many plugins.

This time, I will wait a few days extra and read a little bit more about the new version before I install it.
