Hi folks,

Here's a doozy for you (Ros any advice would be appreciated BIG time).

I've been promoting a merchant through their own affiliate program for the last 2 years or so. I send a good bit of traffic their way and at peak I sell 6 - 8 copies of their product (anti spam software) each day.

There was a quarterly payment schedule (sometimes ran a little late) but I got paid eventually.

Then the trouble started. The company was taken over by Computer Associates. My last payment from them was Jan 2006. Their payment schedule has lapsed completely. Several emails to them have been met with polite "we're sorry the cheque is in the post" type language.

Ok so they're promising to pay me (several hundred dollars due now) so I'm willing to be patient. They always paid out in the end......

A few days ago I log into my account and lo and behold the merchant program has been moved to Commission Junction (no notice or warning of any kind of this change was provided) AND they're not honoring any sales made after May 24th 2006 (so any sales I made in this period is dead money).

Their affiliate manager obviously doesn't read or reply to email as I've not even got a "thanks we're looking into it" reply to the email I sent him.

So I'm owed several hundred dollars, the old affiliate manager doesn't seem to be able to help, their CJ affiliate manager hasn't/won't reply and I'm sitting here pretty much depending on that money to pay bills.

Damn at least it felt good to vent and get that off my chest lol.

Any ideas are more than welcome.

Cheers

Niall

Hi again,

Well amazingly enough I got an email this morning assuring me that payment would be made in full including all sales due/lost during the affiliate program changeover.

I dunno is this a massive coincidence but considering the sum of money (far more than I thought) involved I don't care as long as this issue is resolved Smile

I'll keep you all posted.
