If you're going to Affiliate Summit be prepared!

It's not long until Affiliate Summit in Orlando. I've just returned from Orlando, and it was so hot. You really need to prepare yourself for the heat and humidity. Take with you - a personal fan or cooling device and bucketloads of sunscreen.

Also, if you like to swim - make sure you do it early in the morning. By the mid afternoon the pools get way to warm to swim. When I was there -people were actually sitting in the pool reading because it was way to hot to do it outside.

Thanks for the advice! We'll be there and our main concern is whether or not we'll be in the midst of the hurricane season or not!

Has anyone else visited at this time of year - let us know if we need to bring our raincoats and galoshes too!

Susan - the showers can be really bad in the summer. Even when we were there - one evening, we had to buy waterproof ponchos from the hotel shop. But, when we got outside to get the bus, it had rained so much that it came over the tops of our shoes. In the end, we just decided to stay in our hotel.

It would definitely be worth taking waterproof ponchos with you, as they are expensive once you get there. Also, one time when we forgot to take them, we wound up with huge bright yellow ones with mickey mouse on the back of them!

Don't worry though - you will still have a good time. We would have gone to the summit too, if we hadn't already booked our May trip, but we're going to the Vegas one instead.

Good info for people to know. I'm not going to this Summit - too buys to miss work, but if I were going I doubt I would have thought to bring heavy rain gear.

I just hung up the phone with an affiliate who is in Florida and he's told me the hurricanes are already starting up.

I know we've been experiencing an awfully wet and windy spring here in Montreal, I can only imagine what it will be like down the coast!
