I have several niche ideas, but website design is getting me down. Would getting starting on some of my ideas by creating a blog do well for me. I am pretty confident that I can review affiliates and find or write content.
Does setting up a nice, professional, content ready blog have good profit potential?
Some of my niches are: decorating, crafting(scrapbooking and beading), and home business.
Also where would a new blogger begin? Should I go with a webhost so I the site can grow later? or keep it simple? |

Heart,
If you are serious go with a webhost that offers cpanel, which has one click install of Wordpress.
Wordpress has evolved from just a blogging tool to an excellent content management system, and many people are using it for affiliate marketing.

| Thank you! I decided to quit fussing around and get to work. I got an account with Host gator and just installed Wordpress in my blog directory to get started. I am thinking of using my main domain as a portal to the different interests and house them all under the larger niche of a website for women and homemakers. |

Sounds good. Some people do well out of blogging. I have a couple of blogs, but use them mainly just to drive traffic to my sites. You really need to post daily, which is time consuming, when there's so many other things to do.
I know you said that website design is getting you down, but u can get simple design software. I use XsitePro, which is simple to use. I have also heard good things about Site Build It. |
