Hi Rosalind (Ros? Ms. Gardner?)
I read your blog post about reasons not to use Clickbank
and some questions popped up...
When people click through some link, adwords or otherwise,
do they tend to assume that link is yours or from an affiliate?
Do affiliates ever bypass your sales letter and send people
straight to the order form?
In the "Thank you for ordering..." email is it worthwhile to
include some disclaimer, possibly to counter those
affiliate ads you mentioned?
Thanks

Note: Greg is refering to this post.
Hi Greg,
I'm not sure what they would think or assume. I guess that depends on the link they've clicked.
What makes things worse is that there are so many bogus Google Adwords ads placed under my name that have nothing to do with me or the Super Affiliate Handbook.

I would imagine that some might try to do that to see whether they can improve the conversion rate. That would be hard to do though, considering it runs between 6 and 8 percent for those who write a good endorsement and then send their traffic to my sales page.

It would be a little late by that point, methinks. And once they have the book in their hands, they'll know that it's not a 'get rich in 2 days' kind of scheme.
No... I'll pull out the big guns and just avoid the trouble in the first place.
Cheers ~ Ros |
