My site was also crucified by Google in July with everything going up to 10 pounds per click. I do have opt in on my landing page, but haven't been able to work out what to do to change it, as my laptop blew up - so i couldn't even up date my site. Luckily it was fixed yesterday, so I am going to see what I can do to change the site to Google's requirements. I'm also going to sign up for some other pay per clicks too. I'd been meaning to do that for a while, so these changes have given me the kick I need to do it.

google has become sooooo expensive, especially with partner sites, some times clicking on the google ads on their own website! it just cost too much, it's time to choose another way to advertise! any suggestion!? do you think paid classified advertising would be profitable?

I've been using adwords quite a lot for years and I as well as many others got hit all over the place.

It's once thing a lot of bids go up, but what changed most of all for me was the amount of traffic that changed.

Suddenly it looked like Google only had like 10% of the search amount they had before.

I'm comparing a bid that adowords is showing, with no changes at all. And I kept the ranking and was at let's say place 4. But 75-90% less views.

Most of my campaings went through the roof but not all. Some just lost all teh traffic (the views).

I do have to say this, there's still possible to catch a huge amount of traffic at low price .... Just don't ask me how Smile

Every now and then i breath life into a new campaign and a stampede of people is sent my way. I have even ended up paying as low as $0.01 per click for quite nice keywords.

But the problem is that I have not even once been able to reproduce this intentionally Sad

Meaning, I have no stampedes where I want them, and the few I have had, all where at campaigns that still ended up working bad (not due to lack of traffic though).

I've still been able to redirect to merchant pages without too many problems.
