Hey al,
Just a bit curious about some of CBs merchant policy.
| Quote: |
3. Return Policy:
ClickBank's current return policy is as follows: ClickBank will, at its option, replace or repair any defective product within 8 weeks from the date of purchase. After 8 weeks all sales are final
You must take care to not use any promotional language that might conflict with our return policy. For example, phrases like "personal lifetime guarantee", "ninety day unconditional money-back guarantee", "lifetime membership" or "lifetime updates" are strictly prohibited. As a ClickBank publisher, the only guarantee you can make is that ClickBank will honor its own return policy.

What can I actually put on my site as a guarantee? Reading this it looks like CB restrict you to saying "you'll get a refund if CB think it's ok" which I know can't be the case?
Ros, if you're reading this, how do you manage a 60 day guarantee and lifetime updates on the SAH site?
Cheers,
-Mark |

Hi Mark,
The guarantee on the Super Affiliate Handbook site reads "...Take 8 weeks (56 days) to put it to the test! If you aren't completely satisfied with the "Super Affiliate Handbook" at any time within 8 weeks (56 days), I'll give your money back ... no questions asked!" which is in line with the Clickbank policy.
You could however extend that if you really wanted to and simply refund folks from your PayPal account if they apply for a refund past the 56 days alloted by Clickbank.
But why would you want to?
Cheers,
Ros |

Hi Mark
I recently had a sales page held up by the CB process, because I'd forgotten and left my usual 60-day guarantee on it. After changing it to read 8-week, it was approved. |

Thanks for the replies, all sorted.
From a psycological standpoint, does anyone else think that 8 weeks sounds longer than 56 days?
Cheers,

Normally a larger number = longer
week is a measurement that can't be "felt" while a day everybody knows (from getting out of be until going to bed).
I've testing different ways of doing it and so far the one that has the best track record is the guarantee badge you can see at the bottom off the webpage in my sig below.
If anyone like it, feel free to download and use it!
