Hello to all the Rosalind Gardner people of the world! (She is great
Here's my question to the seasoned amongst you.
I have an OSCommerce online store set-up and really would prefer not to have to continually update product offers, special deals etc... (lazy or busy a little of both)
Do any of you just post one banner in your online offers and catalogs for each retailer to make life easy?
Any advice related to your experience and insights into posting one banner with your affiliate link intact to drive traffic and general sales would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your experiences with this approach. |

Hi Dan,
I'd willingly like to try and help or assist you in this but a couple of things here first.
Not really sure of the question you are asking is the first thing and if it is code for submitting a banner then I can help.
Or is it regarding creating a banner for a specific job or promotion, I can help you there also, but I am not familiar with an OSCommerce Online Store.
I am however familiar with driving visitors and traffic to websites as well.
Anyway If you could be a little more specific in the required help that you would like I may be in a position to assist.
Kind Regards

If all of the products in your store are related, then yes you can use one banner to lead people into the main page.
Otherwise, you could rotate banners for various retailers to draw attention to them.
That leaves me wondering though, if you are referring to having banners inside the store, or on other sites pointing to your store.

sorry for the ambiguity. The store itself has many general categories, let's say one is shoes, I would put a zappos banner there and let folks find any shoe they want through that link.
Say another is kitchen wares, then a banner to the pampered chef would go there. I'm thinking this should be easy enough, but was wondering if anyone else has taken this route to just send people to other sites with their general cookie leading the way. Thanks so much for the replies guys! Dan |

Hi Dan,
Sorry about that, seems we all got our wires crossed
somewhere.
Still to be honest it seems like you have a handle on
the whole situation and are obviously a very capable
person.
Although I would add, even if others have not done what
it is that you are suggesting. If in your mind it
appears that it will work then I would say give it a go
anyway. Even to me what you are saying seems to make
it a far easier and faster system for your customers,
which is what people are looking for these days.
Besides innovation is what separates the great from
the average.
Best of luck my friend...
Kind Regards

Seems to me you (or programmer of your choice) could create a bot that could scan your site for the products you're advertising, then scan your vendors' sites for the latest specials matching your products and put the results on a "Current Specials" page or a link by the product on "special".
Hope the way I worded this makes sense. . . |
