Of course its a stupid question, I'm a newbie Smile

Since the AdSense tracks each page of your website anyway, can you just reuse the same ad unit code on different pages, and even resuse the same ad unit code on the SAME page?

I know I can use channels, but I'm (clearly) not that sophisticated yet. Once I start getting some sales, then I can get fancy Smile

Thanks in advance...

Hi Smallville!

Yes, you can re-use the same unit and code on different pages.

Channels are user-specified to allow you to keep track of which ad block is running on which page for statistical analysis & testing, but they are not required.

Hope this helps! Smile

When you create the ad, you will see a list of existing channels and a link to create a new one. To help with tracking which page the ad is on, I like to name them according to the page and/or location.

Examples:
affref-navmenu
affref-videos
affref-blog
othersite-mainpage

Then when I look in the reports, I can see exactly which pages or ad positions are making money with AdSense and which ones are not. From there I can analyze the current ads on that page and alter them to see if the click-throughs change.
