I am still deciding on templates and I realize my topics are "all over" for now. I am not promoting any products yet as I concentrate on content for now.

What are your impresions? would you "stay around" if you find my site. would you come back?
What is missing?

Any insight is appreciated.

Hi NewMom0208!

Personally, I like your simple template & layout (I'm not a "bells & whistles" guy). I go to sites for information and yours is providing that, however, here are some suggestions / observations that I respectfully submit for you to use or discard as you see fit (Hey, it is YOUR site after all! Laughing ):

add a "Home" link to each page so visitors can get back to the main page in one click as opposed to using the browser "back" button.

you might (and maybe are already) consider adding a logo to your header. Properly done, this can help with your "brand" (how people recognize and associate YOUR site & products)

a few subtle, post-targeted graphics would give more visual appeal to visitors, and if chosen properly can add to the impact of the articles posted

use the same font in the same areas, i.e. your posts have no less than 3 different fonts and font sizes - in each block, area or section of your site, be consistent in your formatting, whether font, size or color. This will also help your visitors to differentiate between sections, which in turn will help them visually navigate to the area of your site that most interests them. It also helps your "perceived" professionalism.

- - NOTE: I do understand that you may be experimenting with fonts to see which you prefer to go with, but your live site is not the place to do it. Make a copies of your pages and experiment with fonts. Then view the experimental copies side by side in a browser and decide which you like better. - -

This one is probably just me, but I'll present it anyway: In your latest post "5 top nutrition tips for a healthy heart" your last sentence prior to your list is "Here you have 5 tips for inspiration:" and then your list uses letters vs numbers. Granted, there are five points, but I kind of expected 1, 2, 3, not a, b, c. . . Again, this is probably just me (I'm quirkey that way, heh, heh).

You may wish to consider using a link to your contact form on your "About" page for people to contact you through as opposed to putting your email address right out on the page. Spammers can and will scan sites for these easily accessible email addresses and exploit the bejeebers out of them. You might also consider making a separate "Contact" page with your form on it and list it under your "Pages" heading so people can go straight to it. Making things "simple and obvious" for your visitors will go a long way in their appreciation for, and use of your site.

Lastly (for this round Wink ), you may want to consider a footer with your copyright line to help protect your property.

Again, these are mere observations, only you know what your vision for your site is. For my part, I love watching new sites form, take shape, and take off, so I'll be peeking in on it from time to time to watch it grow.

You are off to a great start, keep that forward momentum going! Very Happy

Griff

Thank you!
Very useful feedback.

Can you believe I had not notice the font issue? I usually copy paste from Notepad, so I am not sure how did this happen. It looks funky, I will certainly fix that.

All your other comments are very valid, this is why we always need a separate set of eyes.

Keep them coming! I will notify when I have a modified version.
