I've been trying to add some products to my blog but when I add the clickbank hop link all I see is "click here" and when I hit on that it goes nowhere. I didn't use that first link from clickbank anywhere....am I suppose to? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Please help.
Thanks

Hi Angela
You can create your own ClickBank hoplinks like this:
| Code: | | http://your-username.program.hop.clickbank.net |
Change your-username to your ClickBank username.
Change program to the program you are promoting.
To put that into a blog, highlight a keyword or phrase, such as Click Here. Then if you are using the graphical editor in WordPress or similar blog, click the icon that looks like a chain link. A box will pop up to enter your link details.
Once you do that and save the changes, you can preview the blog article and click the link. It should load the intended page.
Hope that helps.

Hi Angela,
I looked at your LPN site, but didn't see where you'd tried to place the link.
If you give us the URL, we can see why it wasn't working for you.
In the meantime, here is an example of a fully coded Clickbank affiliate link for a product called "Free Money for Nursing School":
| Code: | | <a href="http://webvista2.lorinyc.hop.clickbank.net/" target="_top">Click Here!</a> |
To get the link above, I replaced Click Here with the words "Free Money for Nursing School" like this:
| Code: | | <a href="http://webvista2.lorinyc.hop.clickbank.net/" target="_top">Free Money for Nursing School</a> |
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Ros |

Thanks Jim and Ros for your help. When I add a clickbank link and test it out I get a new screen that says "connecting" and it just hangs there forever. No connecting going on.
I don't know what it could be but if I happen to find out I'll let you know.

Hi Angela
Post your link here so we can see if there is anything going on that should not be. You might have to alter the affiliate link itself to abide by the "no affiliate links" rule.

Hi again Angela,
Actually, if you post the Clickbank's Merchant ID and perhaps the title of the product, I can figure out what is going on and how the link should be constructed.
Cheers,
