I would say yes to that.
Having said that, I'd look for a host (with the most) that offers Cpanel with Fantastico where you'll get a lot of great tools at your fingertips including Wordpress and content management systems.
Kenth... that's SUCH a great story and a good lesson. I'm always in favor of having the lumberyard to what they're best at doing.
