i have seen some well known affiliate marketer offer a ready to go website with all the link etc.
What is the general consensus on this type of deals. Are they a good starting point
I am struggling a bit to set up my own website and this seems a quick route

Hi Simon
Thanks for the link. That article says a lot about the ready-made businesses and websites. What you are not told up front is that in order to get paid, you have to join all the affiliate programs that are used to promote the products on the site.
If you have not done so already, get the Super Affiliate Handbook and start going through it, putting the ideas and recommendations to use. I would start with one product, build the site for it, generate traffic and sales, then add another product.
Lather, Rinse, Repeat. |

| So just to clarify when you say one product do you mean one niche or actually one product. So for example if I was looking at electrical goods I should drill down to a specific product like a camcorder? |

Electrical goods is a very large category. You could start with camcorders, build interest in those and then expand from there within a niche such as photography, including various types of cameras, both video and still photo.
Where it goes from there depends on your goals and how far of a reach into the various markets you want to get. Remember, you do not want to be "everything to everyone". Instead, you are looking for a niche that attracts buyers in a specific market, who are looking for a smaller category of items. |
