Hi all,
In between trying to make improvements on my sites and still getting my head around all the techie stuff I have to read I also knew I wanted to start a blog on my site. I kept thinking this will have to wait but then a few days ago I found this great site that is pre set up for you to create a personal blog and even allows you to make a few bucks in the meantime through Adsense! I think it's a great way to get going until you can set one up on your own site.
If you want to check it out have a look at the start of mine at
www.writingup.com/blog/cleversinglemum
and from there you can read up on how it all works. Just thought some of you might be interested!
Cheers

ps. Hope you're beginning to feel a bit better Ros. Obviously your personal marketing style works because I'm concerned for you as if I know you! |

Hello Dynamic63,
Nice looking blog, and I can see that you are making full use of it.
Wondering however if the big block of Google Adsense at the top of the page is really working for you?
My thoughts are that people are so familiar with Google Adsense now that it screams 'ADVERTISING' immediately and may be a turn off.
Perhaps you might want to consider using one of those smaller text links boxes across the top instead?
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Ros |

Hi Ros,
As it was, I barely touched the one at writingup.com and ended up beginning my own at blogger.com (and will no doubt move on from there!).
Writingup turned out being a good place to 'wet my feet' with blogging, but no, you have no control over any of the Adsense layout; that's all handled by the administrators of the site. It's only been running for 3-4 months so I think the two guys that started it are still 'fine tuning'.
