I'm still learning the ropes in many areas of affiliate marketing but I have stumbled onto a problem that is frustrating me. One of the ebooks that I heavily promote throughout my site has suddenly hit a glitch with clickbank and visitors are contacting me saying "why won't it let me buy this book" "I want to get this ebook but when I try it says not available" etc and after nearly two weeks of a very slow responding tech support for this internet marketer that do NOT understand what I am talking about (such as telling me it must be my browser or sending me a copy of the book) when I simply want to know whether to pull out of this particular book and rework the pages I have on my site.
Anyone ever had difficulty like this where you cannot reach the actual owner and tech support is actually letting this ebook author lose sales?
It's not something specific to my links because I've gone to numerous sites, actually went through their links to see if purchasing the book works for their links and none have worked so far.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Tammy,
What a drag!
Unless it's the Super Affiliate Handbook you're have a problem with, pull it down immediately, until the problem is resolved!
You're losing money and if you can't communicate with the webmaster, there's no point in continuing.
They should be thrilled to have you as an affiliate, because most would never bother trying as hard as you did to get the problem sorted out.
Time to cut your losses and find a better merchant and product.
Cheers,

I was afraid of that ~ I've been looking for another comparable ebook but haven't yet......one thing I've noticed is that some want a book, some want a video or audio or physical product. It's what suits their learning style and of course, fits their budget.
Do you think I should create a page so the traffic going to her pages are redirected to another affiliate product (same focus, different product) as the search engines have my site very very relevent for the product and the author itself. As a visitor I would wonder what happened ...as most of my traffic is through search engines and backlinks.
Thank you for the welcome and the advice.

Hi Tammy,
What you might do is add a note and mention the problem, then tell your visitors that if they experience the same problem, that 'here's another great product'.
That'll keep that page going in the SE's, but more importantly, give your visitors what they're looking for without the frustration.
Ros' Rule #417 - Less concern for the search engines, more concern for your visitors.
Cheers,

That's what I was thinking myself ~ people wouldn't want to simply be redirected to something else without knowing WHY as if I duped them but that I made a conscious decision with THEM in mind.
Thanks again ~ Tammy |
