Heavenly Father, we come together to thank you for your love and mercy. We ask protection for your children in Louisiana, that they will not suffer from another hurricane. Many are still struggling from the last one.
Please Lord, have mercy on them and divert the hurricane to open waters where no one will be hurt. You are all powerful and are the only One who can answer this prayer.
You said that when two or more people come together in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, their prayers would be answered. What you did not say is how you would answer the prayer.
Your servants here are in many places, yet are one community to form one voice to praise you and ask for your protection. Please hear us and put your mighty shield around the land in the path of the hurricane.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior we pray.
Amen. |

| I believe that everything happens for a reason. During Gustav i thought about Hurricane Katrina that hit us 3 years ago. I believe God speaks to us through people, places and things. He tests our faith in him. The last few days have made my faith stronger. |

Father, we come together again because each hurricane that approaches us gets stronger than the one before. This tells me that the adversary is angry about your intervention. We need you in our daily lives and praise you for the blessings and love you have shown us. As your humble and faithful servants, we ask for and believe in your protection against these potentially devastating storms.
Should the current storm reach land with its present strength, many of your children will be lost. We pray for ALL your children because they all need your protection, not just those who have given their lives to you.
We call out not only to those in the projected path, including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and part of Alabama, but to everyone across the nation and around the world, to join together in prayer for the lives of those who face the impending danger.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior we pray. Amen.

JIM!!!
It has been way to cool for me to 'fall' on this page and see you guys praying on a forum. That is awesome! My wife and I are in Germany serving the Army Chapel as youth pastors for the huge base in Kaiserslautern. N e who...ministry doesn't always mean money, hence I am now learning what all do so well!
BTW--I figured out the column thing. Because of my theme, I had to upload everything in the
#page
part of the CSS. Not body. I slaved over that one thing for like 2 full days. Thank you for your help.
ciao

Hi Jordan
At first I wondered how others would react to praying in a public forum. Then I remembered that Jesus said, If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father. (paraphrased)
Ministries are not easy and almost always require donations, or someone to find a way to fund them. The results are rewarding though. |
