Question about Commission Junction

Where does one find the whole list of merchants that use CJ? They only show a few merchants. I know there are a lot more. I'd like to see how many of the ones I want to use are under them.

Jodi, if you've not already joined, I don't know if there's such a thing as a full list printed anywhere. Is it some obscure type of product you're looking for? Let me know, and I will do a search for you.

There's no specific place I'm looking for. I just heard that when you place your business under an affiliate program, then it get's seen by people that may want to link you to their website. They only show a few merchants.

If I am looking for specific merchants to affiliate with, I guess I heard I can find them all on the afiliate programs webpage like Commission Junction or linkshare. So, maybe I'm going to have to find my merchants on the web first then and see who they go through?

Jodi why don't you try and join CJ or linkshare, then you will have a whole heap of companies availablr to you. It is free to join and then you can take it from there.

Shouldn't I wait to join CJ until I have my website built? I've heard that they will turn you down if they don't think your site is available and ready with content.

That's true to some extent. When I first joined CJ, I barely had any content one of my sites and some merchant applications were turned down after reviewing my site.

However, there are some programs that have instant approval. I have no way of telling which one are instant or not until I actually apply.
