I searched high and low for an ebook for my newest site. The ones on clickbank weren't suitable, and the best one I found was one with reseller rights.
I've only sold affiliate ebooks so far, and I'm not sure I understand reseller rights. It seems to be very cheap to be able to buy some of these books and sell them. Is there a catch?
Also, I know I can set up to accept paypal, but would it be better to accept credit cards also? I would hate to miss sales because people didn't have paypal, but I'm not sure how many people don't have it. Thanks. |

I personally would avoid resellers rights but go for master resellers rights or even better private labels. Master resellers rights means you can sell the rights on. They are very cheap and I would suggest you check out the title on ebay first. I have a package on ebay which has over 300 books + scripts etc and it is being sold elsewhere at stupid prices, someone tried to sell it to me recently as they have it on clickbank at twice the price I was selling it for on ebay.
If you use paypal you can take credit cards through that. I only use paypal but I guess the day will come when I have to move from that.

| Cheers Bev - I never thought about checking it on ebay. I don't want to be one of millions selling the same thing. |

Advantages of ebooks and websites from ebay UK. They are cheaper than the US ones. Get a feel for what is available and many come with resellers rights plus web pages. Gives you some idea of what is being sold and say you were doing a site based on Atkins (I know you are not so that way we can play with it) find out what ebooks are around any cheap websites? Many of the cheap websites come with private labels so you can use them as your own. The books and sites will give you some ideas not only of what is being sold but what is available. If the book is cheap and many are cheaper on ebay than clickbank can you get a book for 99p which is being sold for $27 + and give it away to subscribers or if you have private labels can you rehash it into articles and add it to your site. And if you buy the right site you might get a problem and as an apology get a free site into the bargain like our football one all with private labels.
I have enough ebooks that allow me to give them away or to change them because of private labels. You can do a buy one get one free as well. |

Thanks Bev. And you're right - even if an Atkins site had the potential to make me a million a year - I still couldn't plug it.
When I searched ebay - the only similar ebooks there were ones from the UK, but luckily none were the same. I paid $17.99 for resale rights, but I think it said on the agreement that I'm not allowed to give it away free. Do I have to charge $17.99 to resell something like this, or can I charge however much I like? I ordered it hours ago though and it hasn't arrived yet.
I wish I'd read this post earlier, because I've already built quite a bit of the site - it would have been nice to buy a cheap one and copy the text into XSite Pro instead. I will have a look on ebay again - I've never had much of a look at the sites on there. Thank you. PS - Did you get keyword I emailed you? I think it was definitely more your cup of tea than mine. |

Yes got the keyword thanks.
No you don't have to sell it the book for a given price normally. Occasionally there is a rule with the book/video or whatever which says you can't sell this on ebay and it can't be sold for less than. But even those are being sold on ebay for less. You can sell it for whatever price you wish but I wouldn't suggest going higher because people will find they can get it cheaper elsewhere. Try your pricing this way, do a special offer available for say 1 month at $15.99 and then on 1st July price is $17.99 but make sure you do raise the price at that time otherwise people wont take any notice of anything else you say.
Many people will say instant delivery but most wont on the UK site. You will need to wait for them to read their emails and then send you a link.
There are some people selling 150+ sites saying what a wonderful deal exclusive books but they are the same things being packaged time and time again many saying if you don't buy today the price tomorrow will be higher. These sites are OK but they are not brilliant and they are all the same. They need work on them if you do buy a cheap site then use it along side other things, new graphics other articles and you will have a great site. |

I'm doing Master Resell rights as a way to build my list and plan to write a couple of Master Resell books with my affiliate links enclosed. The way to make money is to be the writer.
Check my blog at http://www.itsaboutresults.com as I have an article about it.
